So fortunate to live in such a beautiful place! I love having the option of taking advantage of the great outdoors for my daily workout instead of hitting the gym.  Now school just needs to end ASAP, so I can go hiking whenever!

Denver is one of the chosen 20 US cities for the 2012 Tour de Color Run! This a one of a kind experience that looks so fun, I really want to participate! You are required to wear a white shirt and at every kilometer marker runners are blitzed with this bright color special paint.

Mean Green Spinach Smoothie

A great way to start your morning off! Spinach in a smoothie… sounds gross, but promise its delicious and has many health benefits.

Ingredients:

1 sliced banana

1 cup Unsweetened Almond milk (or other kind of milk)

4 cups baby spinach (or more, or less)

4 ice cubes

4 tablespoons of vanilla whey protein powder (optional)

1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
